On a Mac
- Where is my key?
- In the email sent after your purchase, with the download links. If it is not there, check spam, or write to us and it will be sent again.
- What does it run on?
- macOS 14 Sonoma or later.
- How do I activate a clock?
- Open the app and enter the key once. The clocks you own then appear in the screensaver too.
- How do I set up the screensaver?
- Open the download and double-click it's time.saver: macOS offers to install it. Choose it in System Settings, Screen Saver, where its Options set which clock it shows. Installing it is not activating it: it shows the clocks your key has activated. If no app is installed, Have a key? under a clock in Options opens the place to enter one.
- How many Macs?
- One license covers up to three Macs.
- I have a new Mac, or my three are used up.
- Write to us from the address you bought with, and we will free a place.
- How do I update?
- Download the clock again from the links in your email: they always serve the current version.
On iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch
- Where are Info and Settings?
- Tap a clock you own. Given Time is always yours. INFO appears under it, and SETTINGS is on the page it opens.
- What does it run on?
- iOS and iPadOS 18 or later, watchOS 10 or later. The app is on the App Store.
- How do I get my clocks back on a new phone?
- Bought in the app: in Settings, Restore purchases, signed in with the Apple Account that bought them. Bought on our site: Restore purchases, then Use your email, again.
- I bought on your site. How do I see my clocks on the phone?
- In Settings, Restore purchases, then Use your email. Type the address you bought with and enter the code mailed to it. The watch follows the phone.
- The code did not arrive.
- Use the address you bought with, and check spam. You can ask again: only the newest code works, and for ten minutes.
- How many phones?
- Clocks bought on our site can be shown on three iPhones and iPads, apart from the three Macs. A fourth takes the place of the one unused longest. The watch is not counted.
- I bought in the app. How do I get my clocks on a Mac?
- In Settings, Email your keys. A key and the downloads are mailed to the address you type.
- How do I set Given Time's hours, String's cable, or the date on Index?
- On the phone, press and hold a clock you own. The watch follows the phone.
- Is it a watch face?
- No. On Apple Watch it's time is an app, and the watch goes back to its own face after two minutes, or after an hour if you set that for it under Return to Clock in the watch's Settings. Cartesian, Index and Orbit are not on the watch.
Refunds
Bought on our site: within 14 days of the purchase, no questions asked. Write to us from the address you bought with.
Given as a gift: until it arrives, the giver can cancel it, or change the address it goes to, by writing to us from the address they paid with. After that, within 14 days, as above.
Bought in the app: refunds are handled by Apple, at reportaproblem.apple.com.
